Globally, the kilt-wearing Scottish Highlander is the brand icon of William Lawson’s. However, he just didn’t cut it with the Kenyan men because of his “skirt”. We had to create a younger, trendier and bolder Kenyan Highlander who liked to do things his way, under the campaign idea of Great Taste, Bold Scotch. The result: William Lawson’s is well on its way to becoming the largest selling whisky brand in Kenya.
